Detailed tasting notes : Hachimitsu Umeshu harmoniously blends the natural sweetness of honey with the fruity, slightly tart flavor of Kishu plums, reputed to be the best in Wakayama Prefecture. On the palate, this liqueur offers a smooth, velvety texture, with rich, complex aromas of ripe plums, subtly balanced by floral and honey notes. The finish is delicate and persistent, leaving an impression of refined sweetness and freshness.
Serving suggestions : To fully appreciate Hachimitsu Umeshu, we recommend serving it well chilled, either neat or on the rocks for a refreshing experience. This umeshu also lends itself perfectly to the creation of sophisticated cocktails, where its smoothness and creaminess can be brought to the fore. Try it in a spritz with sparkling water and a slice of lemon, or in a cocktail with gin and a dash of lemon juice for an extra touch of acidity.
About the brewery : Nakano BC is located south of Osaka, in the heart of Wakayama Prefecture. It starts with the brewing of soybeans, but its field of activity is now much wider, ranging from the brewing of sake to the production of various alcoholic beverages such as Umeshu and shochu. It also produces plum fruit juices, a specialty of the prefecture. It is known to welcome many visitors throughout the year who come to admire their beautiful garden. Their sake is carefully handcrafted by highly skilled toji and kurabito, who take advantage of spring water from the Fujishiro Mountain Range.
