About the brewery : Kaetsu Shuzo was originally created in 1880 in the Fukushima Prefecture, then transferred to Niigata in 1886. Niigata Prefecture faces the Sea of Japan, the climate is continental with very hot summers and cold and snowy winters. The brewery is located in the town of Aga-machi where the river Agano and Tokonami meet. It is also surrounded by many mountains. This area gave birth to one of the most noble rice "Sakamaï" (rice dedicated to sake production). The quality of the water is also excellent with the natural springs in the surrounding area that provide pure and fresh water. An excellent sake region.
Detailed tasting notes : A sake characterized by aromatic mineral and iodine notes that reveal light nuances of rice.
Serving suggestions : Pairs perfectly with raw fish, vegetables and tofu, and can be enjoyed chilled, at room temperature or even warm.
