A balanced and memorable taste journey

About the distillery : The Chita distillery, part of the Suntory group in Japan, is renowned for its expertise in the production of grain whiskies. Located near Nagoya on the island of Honshu, The Chita focuses on using corn as its main ingredient. Unlike many Japanese distilleries focused on malt whiskies, The Chita explores the potential of grain, creating expressions renowned for their sweetness, delicacy and aromatic complexity. The distillery's innovative distillation methods contribute to the creation of unique spirits. Integrated with iconic Suntory brands such as Hibiki, The Chita plays an essential role in enriching the diversity and overall quality of Japanese whiskies produced by the Suntory group.

Detailed tasting notes : On the nose, a delicate fusion of rose petal and Turkish delight is refreshed by notes of cardamom and green tea, while vanilla and cask toffee emerge with subtlety, accompanied by a touch of oranges and honey. On the palate, lingering flavors of rose loukoums, honey and oranges are enhanced by nuances of mint and caramel, with a brief appearance of fleeting notes of banana. The medium-length finish offers a peppery character, highlighting vanilla, rose petal and cereal.
