Alain Ducasse Sustainable Spirit cocktails
A few days ago, we told you about the new collaboration between the Shichiken sake brewery and Alain Ducasse, with the launch of Alain Ducasse Sustainable Spirit, a kasu sake shochu matured for 3 years in whisky barrels from the Suntory Hakushu distillery, before being bottled at 37°. Today, we invite you to discover a series of 4 cocktails made from it.
COCKTAIL CREATIONS
To showcase this exceptional spirit and raise its profile internationally, Alain Ducasse is offering a series of cocktails whose exclusive recipes have been devised by Gérard Margeon, Executive Head Sommelier at Alain Ducasse Paris. It was under his supervision that we were able to taste these creations at Bar 228 in the Hôtel Meurice.
CITRUS
A perfect 3-citrus harmony, blending bitterness and sweetness, enhanced by Pandan leaf.
10 mL Filtered lemon juice
20 mL Orange liqueur
10 mL Filtered orange juice
10 mL Kombucha - Pandan leaf
40 mL Alain Ducasse Sustainable Spirit
Shake all ingredients in a shaker, then pour into an old-fashioned glass containing a spherical ice cube.
BLOODY MARY
A modern reinterpretation of the legendary Bloody Mary cocktail with green tomato.
3 drops Green Tabasco
1 pinch Celery salt
60 mL Green tomato juice
30 mL Alain Ducasse Sustainable Spirit
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and pour into a cocktail glass.
CRANBERRY MÛRE
Carob liqueur perfectly enhances this fruity, yet low-sugar cocktail.
5 mL Blackberry liqueur
30 mL Carob liqueur
50 mL Cranberry juice
40 mL Alain Ducasse Sustainable Spirit
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and pour into a cocktail glass.
CAFÉ CAFÉ
An original, gourmet cocktail that goes perfectly with dessert.
30 mL Coffee
10 mL Bitter almond
10 mL Carob liqueur
40-50 mL Alain Ducasse Sustainable Spirit
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and pour into a tumbler.
