About the brewery : Located in Aga, Niigata Prefecture, at the foot of Mount Kirin, close to the Tokonami River, Kirinzan Shuzo has been brewing sake for over 170 years. To ensure the highest quality rice for the product, Kirinzan's toji works with team members in the local rice fields during the summer months, and participates in the harvest in the autumn. The brewery is committed to using the finest local rice to support the Oku-Aga farming community. Their motto : “Great sake starts with people working in harmony”.
Detailed tasting notes : On the nose, notes of aromatic herbs and white vegetables. On the palate, this sake reveals a certain balance, with flavors of banana, rice pudding and citrus.
Serving suggestions : An excellent accompaniment to soba sushi and shellfish. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
